Alliances overview

At Bolero, our vision is to become the dominant provider of financial supply chain solutions in support of Global Trade Management. However, we recognize that Bolero’s hosted application suites and services are only a piece of a customer’s total solution.

Bolero’s success in this fast growing market has been realized through a business model that exploits Bolero’s core competency – the ability to deliver a world-class trade platform – while leveraging select partnerships and alliances with established industry leaders to provide all the necessary components to deliver an end to end Global Trade solution. These components include systems integrators, technology alliance partners, solution alliance partners and community enablement alliance partners.

Surecomp

Established in 1987, Surecomp is renowned as a global provider of front-to-backend Trade Finance solutions. Surecomp’s success stems from its proactive approach; understanding individual customer needs, market requirements and the development of the ultimate Trade Finance solutions.

Three fully integrated Trade Finance solutions:
  • IMEX (Back-Office)
  • NetIMEX (Internet-based Customer Access)
  • NetLC (corporate in-house initiation of Trade Finance transactions)
represent Surecomp’s Bolero product line.

IMEX is a Thin Client application available on a variety of servers (Mainframe, UNIX and Windows), providing identical functionality across all platforms. IMEX supports all Trade Finance activity required in the Bank including inward and outward Letters of Credit, Clean and Documentary Collections, Guarantees and Clean Payments, as well as Reimbursements, Syndications and Participations.

NetIMEX is an Internet-based Trade Finance solution which provides the Bank's customers with an easy-to-use communication channel, facilitating the opening and amending of Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit and Guarantees, the provision of payment and settlement instructions under Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections, the creation of outgoing Remittances and the creation of regular or direct Export Clean and Documentary Collections. NetIMEX also serves as a delivery channel for all incoming correspondence from the Bank, such as Incoming L/C advices, Collection and payment advices etc. NetIMEX provides the customer with a wide range of on-line inquiry options.

NetLC is an advanced software solution that enables corporate users to initiate and monitor Letters of Credit and many other types of Trade Finance transactions in-house through a standard browser. User friendly with a fast learning curve, NetLC streamlines the Trade process for global, regional and small corporations, helping them improve operational capabilities, minimize operational risk and move closer to a true STP environment.

One of the many strengthens of NetLC is its unique multi-bank functionality, which allows corporate customers to use one access point for handling all trade finance transactions with a pre-defined group of banks, thereby avoiding the need to work with multiple banking portals.
Surecomp's link to Bolero encompasses NetLC, NetIMEX and IMEX. For example, using NetLC or NetIMEX, the customer can transfer export documentation to the Bank. The IMEX user will be able to receive the incoming correspondence, remove customer instructions, add the Bank's own instructions and forward the package to the next party in the chain via the Bolero service.

Tradelink Electronic Commerce Limited

International trade is a cornerstone of Hong Kong's economy. Since all import and export shipments involve Government documentation at some stage, Tradelink is jump started the adoption of e-commerce in Hong Kong by providing electronic services for the most commonly-used Government transactions, linked to a programme of migration from paper to full electronic submission.

Backed by the strong support of the Hong Kong trading community and company shareholders, Tradelink has built up and maintained an impressive customer base of more than 53,000 companies and 100% trade declarations are now submitted electronically.
