Bolero, with the cross-industry representation and significant community expertise of its founding shareholders, was founded to build a platform which conformed to these fundamental pre-requisites, providing a unique and substantive technology to underpin fully electronic trade.
At Bolero we deal primarily with Corporate Importers and Exporters and the integration of their trade activity with the two communities on which their trade processes are dependent or highly inter-related - on the one side the freight forwarders and the broader logistics services providers, and on the other, the Banks and other Financial Institutions.
We deal in a global world where there are a growing number of customs, industry and, particularly in Asia, regional trade community platforms, introducing aspects of paperless trade to the global Physical and Financial Supply Chain.
Bolero has been designed to interoperate with these emerging platforms as well as providing incremental steps of value to these inter-related communities.

The Bolero Trusted Trade Platform : this is the core investment and infrastructure underpinning all Bolero services and incorporates the secure messaging, trusted third party, legal infrastructure and standards supporting the management of electronic trade documents or trade data. In addition to providing stand-alone solution value as a platform, this is a pre-requisite for all Bolero Application Suites.
The Bolero Open Account Suite : Standardised, modular application suite delivering Order Collaboration, through Reconciliation and Payment. This is targeted at delivering value to the Importer and Exporter in an Open Account environment and scales to use as a multi-bank solution. It also provides the core standard enabling technology for a Bank’s provision of competitive Open Account financing and services.
The Bolero Documentary Credit Suite : Standardised, modular application suite delivering value to the Importer and Exporter in a traditional or automated Documentary Credit environment. This suite comprises Letter of Credit collaboration, document preparation, automated compliance checking and credit management. Like the Open Account Suite, this scales to seamless multi-Bank use as well as providing the enabling technology for Bank offered credit solutions.
The entry-level component of the Credit Suite is BoleroAdvise, which provides multi-bank electronic Letter of Credit Advise capability.
