Web Access Layer
Bolero provides a web-based document management and interface tool called Bolero Web Access. Bolero Web Access provides all the functionality necessary to manage International Trade documents from a standard Internet browser.
The documents to and from management features enable companies to upload and download unstructured or fully structured documents to and from the back-office. Full translation of structured documents is supported to enable companies to take advantage of Bolero’s Open Account and Documentary Credit suites without changing or translating back-office formats. Documents can also be created and edited on-line through user-friendly document forms. Bolero Web Access provides data inheritance features that enable operators to copy automatically data from one document into one or more documents, eliminating the need for and errors associated with re-keying data.
Most document management software is generic, forcing the operator through steps necessary to create and review documents. Bolero Web Access is designed to guide the operator through the steps required to complete a transaction, reducing training and operational time, errors and oversights. Workflow is aligned with the Bolero Open Account and Documentary Credit suites and can be additionally configured to cater for specific back-office processes.
Bolero Web Access is fully compatible with the Bolero Trusted Trade Platform (TTP). It supports Bolero’s guaranteed delivery protocols, document and transmission security, and the boleroXML document standards. As is the case of the TTP, it is hosted by SWIFT in the SWIFT Operating Centres and has passed due diligence audits with numerous banks that are now using the service.
In addition to its rich document management, workflow and TTP support, Bolero Web Access also provides a full range of administrative functions. These include document templates, address books, code list managers, user profiles and maker-checker capabilities.
Bolero Web Access is available as a Bolero-branded version or can be branded with the logos, colours and layouts of a specific community or bank.
