New tie-up with global provider will facilitate innovation in the platform and ensure future stability

London, 27th May 2015Bolero International has announced a new long-term contract with technology partner CSC which will guarantee continued security, availability and compliance for users of its electronic multi-party trade platform.

As well as providing infrastructure and operations services to Bolero, the new agreement will extend the provision of enterprise cloud services in support of Bolero’s ongoing programme of product and technology improvements rolling out through 2015 and beyond. This follows Bolero’s recent announcement of formal support for the SWIFT MT798 corporate-to-bank message set from the Bolero network to simplify back office integration for bank-to-corporate messaging.

Bolero VP Technology Mark Harrap said: “Agility is critical to Bolero as we innovate the services we offer to our clients. Having access to flexible compute resources within the secure perimeter of an enterprise cloud such as that provided by CSC is an important part of our capability.”

As a multi-party trade solutions provider, Bolero’s network of corporates, banks, insurers and logistics service providers require high levels of security and data sovereignty. CSC’s strong reputation and focus in this area enables Bolero to give assurance that its platform meets the high standard required by large international enterprises, financial institutions and industry regulators.

CSC’s UK Banking Executive, Beau Anderson said: “CSC’s partnership with Bolero provides the secure flexible solution needed to deliver top quality multi-party trade solutions. The partnership between Bolero and CSC is delivering a solution that is digital, secure and efficient.”

About Bolero

Bolero is a cloud-based platform which provides a different way to implement multi-party trade documentation solutions.

Unlike traditional point to point approaches which are costly, complex and uncertain, Bolero’s cloud architecture ensures fast deployment, ease of use and global access together with no infrastructure costs. Users benefit from accelerated time to cash, reduced costs, greater control and visibility and operational efficiencies.

Because trade finance involves collaboration between multiple parties, all Bolero Applications are built on the Bolero Exchange, a collaborative platform which supports all trade flows between all parties and across all locations. Each Bolero member only needs to connect once and then has common access to all other community members whilst remaining completely insulated from a trade partner’s specific technology and business process.

Bolero is more than a technology solution – it is a community of corporates, banks, insurers and logistics service providers operating in more than 46 countries and managing more than 550,000 trade transactions per month.
